Your .tel domain is registered for a limited period of time, after which you can renew it for one year or more. Make sure that you keep your .tel name by following these simple steps:
Renewing your .tel name should be quick and easy.
You may see a renewal reminder in your .tel control panel and receive email notifications from your provider about domain names that are about to expire. Those emails should contain detailed instructions and links to renewal information. The content and frequency of reminders are up to your .tel provider.
You can renew your domain at any time before it expires. Registrars may also offer a grace period allowing you to keep your domain after the expiration date, for an additional fee.
Some registrars also offer auto-renewal to make sure that your names are not deleted by accident. In this case, you will be automatically billed for the extension of the domain registration period. Ask your .tel provider to confirm that auto-renewal is enabled for all your .tel names.
If auto-renewal is not enabled with your registrar, we suggest that you renew as soon as possible. See if your .tel provider offers any discounts for renewing now for 2 or more years.
If you miss your expiration date, your domain name may become non-functional. It may also be deleted by the .tel provider and, after a cooling-off period, become available for anyone to re-register.
